Brian D. Anderson, PT, LMT
Brian is a 1996 graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in exercise and sport science, with a focus on athletic training. While there he worked along side and learned from highly skilled athletic trainers as he worked with the women’s basketball team, the softball team, the football team and the men’s/ women’s tennis teams. He then went on to study physical therapy at Chatham University and received his masters degree in 1998. Following this he began working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic treating orthopedic and sports related injuries.
In 2011 he became a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics through The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. During his 20 years as a physical therapist, a deeper appreciation of the positive effects of massage developed, especially when combined with traditional forms of therapy such as strengthening and flexibility. To enhance his massage skills, he attended The Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy. He graduated in 2020 and became a licensed massage therapist. He is a member of both the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Massage Therapy Association.
Brian moved back to his hometown of Indiana in 2020 to start on his new career path. His goal is to provide a well rounded therapeutic experience through hands on work, education and personal instruction. He takes his time to discuss your history and to learn your goals so that he can develop an individualized treatment plan, set realistic expectations and make appropriate referrals if needed. So whether you are just looking to relax and reduce stress or are looking to address an acute/chronic condition, he hopes that you will consider him to help guide the way.
In his free time Brian enjoys running, biking and weight training. Through personal experience, he is well aware of the effects that these activities have on the body and the positive effects that therapy can have.
